Young Scientists of America Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists through mentorship, research, and community service. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world medical practice while fostering innovation, clinical excellence, and compassionate community impact

Medical & STEM Mentorship
Provide structured mentorship programs for STEM students with a focus on medical careers
- Guide students through clinical exposure, academic pathways, and professional development
- Develop future physicians, scientists, and healthcare leaders
Promotion of Community-Based Clinical Research
Engage students in real-world clinical and translational research
- Encourage collaboration with physicians, neuroscientists, and healthcare professionals
- Promote evidence-based medicine and early scientific inquiry
- Actively collaborating with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and supplement industries on investigator-initiated clinical research, safety studies, real-world evidence, and innovative cognitive health solutions.
Community Service & Public Health Outreach
Deliver outreach programs to underserved populations
- Provide meals (breakfast programs) for the homeless
- Conduct health screenings such as blood pressure monitoring and health education
Youth Brain Health Initiative (Research, Education & Innovation)
Advance research and education in traumatic brain injury (TBI) in youth
- Develop and implement baseline cognitive testing programs for early detection and monitoring
- Support early intervention strategies to improve cognitive and neurological outcomes
- Promote the development of innovative clinical tools and digital health solutions for brain health assessment and recovery
- Educate students, parents, and communities on concussion awareness, prevention, and long-term brain healt
Roadside Doctor: Changing one Life @ a Time
The vision of Young Scientists of America (YSAmerica.org) was created to bring comprehensive medical
care to the most disadvantaged members of our community.
Today, that vision is becoming a reality through our partnership with Carrollton Regional Pharmacy, led by Dr. Vipul Shakiya, and The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center.
For many years, I dreamed of becoming a "roadside doctor"—bringing medical care directly to those who have no access to it. That dream has now come true. We are able to evaluate, treat, and dispense medications directly to individuals experiencing homelessness through our roadside outreach clinic, meeting patients where they are rather than waiting for them to find healthcare.
This partnership represents more than medical care—it represents compassion, dignity, and the belief that quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we are taking medicine beyond the walls of a clinic and into the community, one life at a time.
